Nearly every large Indian cell programme today runs on chemistry licensed from a foreign partner. AGES exists to make Indian energy storage independent of any single country's supply chain — by owning the manufacturing, the materials science, and the intellectual property, under one group.

Why This, Why Now

Scale is being bought. Chemistry is still scarce.

Most large Indian battery programmes have chosen speed over ownership, licensing cell chemistry from foreign partners. AGES is placed deliberately in the opposite corner — building toward an owned cathode-material and cell platform, backed by a domestically-abundant second chemistry track in parallel.
